So something along the lines of 500km every day for six years straight, Presumably mostly autobahn, which depending on how fast he is traveling is at least 5 hours of driving every day. Can you achieve such a feat while working a regular daytime job?

I’ve read of some salespeople and medical delivery drivers
in places like Texas who average 100k miles per year, so in that context this seems achievable. On the other hand, I didn’t know if similar positions existed in Europe..

They do, but Germany is only about half the size of Texas, so distances point to point are a lot shorter.
